Le cache non possono cambiare tipologia. Possono essere concesse delle eccezioni solo se la cache non ha ancora mai avuto un found.

Geoache type can't be changed. Exceptions can be granted only if the geocache has never been found.

I cache devono essere nascosti per l’occasione e avere un proprio logbook. I libri degli ospiti solitamente presenti in musei, chiese, parchi, cimiteri e simili, così come i libri di vetta e i loro contenitori in cima alle montagne, non possono essere considerati cache.

Caches must be specifically hidden and have their own logbook. Guest books that are usually common in museums, churches, parks, cemeteries, and so on, as well as summit books and their container on the top of mountains, cannot be considered caches.

Nel caso in cui una cache venga nascosta in un muro a secco, o comunque su un’opera muraria composta da elementi non fissati con malta o cemento, per evitare che la ricerca possa apportare danni alla struttura, è obbligatorio aggiungere al listing una foto spoiler che tolga ogni dubbio sulla effettiva posizione della stessa.

Sarà opportuno anche aggiungere un hint con una descrizione chiara (possibilmente anche in inglese) ed eventualmente segnalare sul listing la fragilità delle struttura.

If a cache is hidden in a drywall, or in any other masonry work composed of elements not secured with mortar or cement, to prevent damage to the structure during the search, it is mandatory to add a spoiler photo to the listing to remove any doubt as to its actual location.

It is also advisable to add a hint with a clear description (possibly in English) and, if necessary, note the fragility of the structure on the listing.

Dopo alcuni casi particolari abbiamo pensato di dare una interpretazione definitiva alla diversa valutazione dei waypoint "fisici" e "virtuali" delle cache.
Le Linee Guida e il Centro Assistenza, parlando di waypoint fisici, usano i termini object e item, quindi "oggetto" o "elemento".
In base a queste affermazioni, di fatto, ogni "cosa" che viene aggiunta a quanto già sul posto sarebbe da considerare waypoint fisico.
Sul lato pratico, una scatola o simile sicuramente è da considerarsi tale, una scritta sicuramente meno.

Quindi alla fine siamo giunti ad una decisione:

- Waypoint fisico: oltre agli oggetti per i quali non c’è alcun dubbio, anche adesivi o simili (tag di qualsiasi tipo - NFC, chirp ecc, etichette, calamite ecc) sono da considerarsi in questo insieme;

- Waypoint virtuale: oltre a tutto ciò che non è stato aggiunto (e in questa casistica entrano anche oggetti fisici presenti in zona come ad esempio una targa, un cartello, ecc.), si possono far rientrare in questo insieme anche scritte aggiunte dall’owner (anche con pennarello o vernice UV).

Unica eccezione a questa regola sono i riflettori delle night cache (i cosiddetti fire tacks): viene richiesto di inserire come waypoint fisico solo il primo riflettore della serie ed eventuali riflettori più grandi di 5 cm. Tutti gli altri riflettori possono essere omessi o, al limite, indicati come virtuali.

Ovviamente tutti i waypoint fisici dovranno rispettare quanto scritto nelle Linee Guida.

After some special cases we have decided to give a definitive interpretation to the different evaluation of the physical and virtual waypoints of the geocaches.
The Guidelines and the Help Center, speaking of physical waypoints, use the terms object and item.
On the basis of these statements, in fact, every "thing" that is added to what is already in place would be considered a physical wayppoint.
On the practical side, a box or similar has to be considered physical, a written coordinate hasn't.

So in the end we came to a decision:

- Physical waypoint: in addition to objects for which there is no doubt, stickers or similars (tags of any kind, labels, magnets, etc.) are also to be considered included this group;

- Virtual waypoint: in addition to everything that has not been added (and in this case there are also physical objects present in the area such as a plate, a sign, etc.), it is also possible to include in this group writings added by the owner (also with marker or UV varnish).

The only exception to this rule are the night cache reflectors (the so-called fire tacks): you are asked to enter as a physical waypoint only the first reflector of the series and any reflectors larger than 5 cm. All other reflectors can be omitted or, at most, indicated as virtual.

Obviously all the physical waypoints must comply with the Guidelines.

I cimiteri (in uso o abbandonati) sono luoghi considerati sacri per molte persone, pertanto nascondere una cache fisica all'interno di essi non è consentito.

Poiché alcuni cimiteri sono molto particolari o poiché ci sono delle storie (private o pubbliche) che qualche geocacher vuol far conoscere, si possono creare cache (di tipo Multi, Mystery, Letterbox o Wherigo) in un cimitero solo ed esclusivamente se:

• tutti gli stage fisici ed il final sono posizionati all'esterno del cimitero;

• tutti gli stage virtuali all'interno del cimitero devono essere scelti in modo tale che venga sempre rispettata la sacralità del luogo:

  • gli indizi devono essere facilmente visibili;

  • oltre a tutti gli oggetti per i quali non c’è alcun dubbio, anche adesivi o simili (tag, etichette, calamite ecc.) e scritte con pennarelli indelebili o UV NON vanno assolutamente utilizzati per la creazione di stage all'interno;

  • non devono essere scelti in modo tale da costringere i geocacher a spostare o anche solo toccare nulla.

Inoltre all'interno del listing deve essere presente una nota (in italiano e in inglese) che sottolinea che la cache è al di fuori del cimitero e che la ricerca degli indizi che si trovano all'interno deve essere fatta in rispetto alla sacralità del luogo e mantenendo un comportamento consono.

Queste regole si applicano anche a sacrari, sepolcri, tombe, fosse comuni e simili.

Cemeteries (in use or abandoned) are places that many people consider sacred, therefore hiding a physical geocache inside them is not allowed.

As some cemeteries are very particular or because there are stories (private or public) that some geocachers would like to let others know, it is possible to create geocaches (Multi, Mystery, Letterbox or Wherigo) in a cemetery if, and only if:

• all physical stages and the final are placed outside the cemetery;

• all virtual stages inside the cemetery are chosen in a way that will always respect the sacredness of the location:

  • the clues/signs must be easily visible;

  • in addition to all objects for which there is no doubt, also stickers or similars (tags, labels, magnets, etc.) and indelible or UV markers must NOT be used for the creation of internal stage;

  • they must not be chosen in a way to force geocachers to move or even touch anything.

In addition, in the listing there must be a note (in Italian and in English) that underlines that the geocache is located outside the cemetery and that the hunt for the clues/sign that are located inside the cemetery must be done in respect of the sacredness of the location and maintaining an appropriate behavior.

These rules also apply to shrines, tombs, graves, mass graves and the like.

Può succedere di nascondere una cache all'interno di una grotta, un tunnel o un bunker o qualsiasi costruzione o edificio dove il segnale GPS non è forte o non è nemmeno presente.

La cache deve essere proposta come Multi o Mystery.

In questi casi è richiesto:

• di essere certi che l'accesso al luogo sia consentito a tutti, senza alcun limite e non deve essere richiesto alcun permesso per accedervi;

• che, se il luogo non è aperto al pubblico, si verifichi e confermi che il proprietario permetta di nascondere una cache in quel luogo e sia informato in modo completo del funzionamento del gioco. I reviewer possono richiedere di essere messi in contatto con il proprietario per verificare i permessi;

• di tener presente che qualsiasi tipo di recinzione, porta chiusa che deve essere aperta o qualsiasi segno di divieto è da considerarsi come limite;

• che sia indicato, in modo chiaro e comprensibile, che la cache si trova in grotta, tunnel, bunker o simile. Per le Multi questo va indicato chiaramente nel listing, per le Mystery deve essere esplicitato, se non nel listing, almeno nel geocheck/certitude o simile. In ogni caso è obbligatorio che, nel momento in cui un geocacher andrà a cercare la cache, sappia con certezza che si trova in grotta, tunnel, bunker o simile;

• per le Multi le coordinate del listing devono corrispondere all'entrata dell'area, mentre per le Mystery le coordinate dovrebbero essere fittizie e le coordinate dell'entrata dovrebbero essere ricavate dalle informazioni nel listing;

• nel testo del listing devono essere presenti delle istruzioni per raggiungere la cache partendo dall'ingresso (es: dall'ingresso fai 10 passi in avanti, poi girati a sinistra e fanne altri 5, di fronte a te nella nicchia...);

• il waypoint finale deve essere la posizione fisica della cache e può ovviamente essere calcolata con approssimazione.

It can happen to hide a geocache inside a cave, tunnel, bunker or any "covered" building, where the GPS signal is not as strong as it should or not even present.

The geocache must be listed as Multi or Mystery.

In these cases it is required:

• to be sure that accessing to the location is completely open to everyone, with no limitation and there is no need to ask for any permission to get in;

• if the location is not open to public, to check and confirm that the owner of the area allows to hide a geocache there and it is completely informed on how the game works. Reviewers can ask to get in touch with the owner to double check the permissions;

• to keep in mind that any type of fence, closed doors to be opened and any access prohibition signs must be considered as limitations;

• that it is clearly indicated that the geocache is in a cave, tunnel, bunker or similar. For Multis this must be explained in listing, for Mysteries it must be explained, if not in the listing, at least in the geocheck/certitude or similar. In any case it is mandatory that, when a player will seek the geocache, they know that it is in a cave, tunnel, bunker or similar;

• that for Multis the listing coordinates must point to the entrance of the area, while for Mysteries the coordinates should be fake and the entrance coordinates should be calculated by using the information on the listing;

• that, in the listing, there must be the instructions to find the cache starting from the entrance (example: from the entrance make 10 steps forward, then turn left and do other 5 steps, search in front of you in the hole ...);

• that the final waypoint must be the physical location of the cache and it can be calculated with approximation.

Chiunque voglia nascondere una cache in un luogo abbandonato (lost place o urbex) deve prima determinare se sia legale accedervi.
Mandando una cache di questo tipo in revisione, il proprietario conferma di essere autorizzato a nascondere la cache nel luogo scelto o, comunque, di non aver riscontrato impedimenti espliciti ad accedere.

Ciò significa che una cache non potrà essere pubblicata se è evidente l'intenzione del proprietario di non desiderare l'accesso alla struttura: una proprietà è considerata privata se è chiaramente protetta da recinzioni, muri e cartelli di divieto. Non è necessario che una recinzione sia continua: l'assenza di una recinzione vicino a un vialetto d'accesso o singoli elementi danneggiati non compromettono il carattere di proprietà chiusa. Solo quando ci sono così tante aperture da non poter più essere considerata una recinzione la natura protettiva cessa di esistere.
Anche un edificio abbandonato destinato alla demolizione potrebbe essere una proprietà privata, se le condizioni sono quelle di cui sopra.
Il proprietario della cache deve assumersi la responsabilità di valutare attentamente il nascondiglio prescelto e se la propria scelta sia conforme alla legge.

Nessun reviewer può fornire assistenza in merito: il suo ruolo nel processo di pubblicazione si limita a decidere se la cache possa essere pubblicata in base alle proprie conoscenze e alle linee guida vigenti. Un revisore non può autorizzare il posizionamento di una cache o fornire consulenza legale in merito alla possibilità di nascondere una cache nel luogo prescelto.

Anyone who wishes to hide a cache in an abandoned place (lost place or urbex) must first determine whether it is legal to access.

By submitting such a cache for review, the owner confirms that they are authorized to hide the cache in the chosen location or, in any case, that they have not found any explicit impediments to access.

This means that a cache cannot be published if it is clear that the owner does not want access to the property: a property is considered private if it is clearly protected by fences, walls and prohibition signs. A fence does not have to be continuous: the absence of a fence near a driveway or individual damaged elements do not compromise the character of a closed property. Only when there are so many openings that it can no longer be considered a fence does the protective nature cease to exist.

Even an abandoned building slated for demolition could be private property, if the conditions are those described above.
The owner of the cache must take responsibility for carefully evaluating the chosen hiding place and whether their choice is in compliance with the law.

No reviewer can provide guidance on this matter; their role in the publication process is limited to deciding whether the cache can be published based on their knowledge and current guidelines. A reviewer cannot authorize the placement of a cache or provide legal advice on whether a cache can be hidden in a chosen location.

La distanza tra due cache può essere inferiore a 161 metri solamente quando, in zone con elevate differenze di quota, questo limite è garantito dal dislivello tra le due.

In questi casi, infatti, non prendiamo in considerazione l'effettiva distanza "sul piano", ma quella che si ottiene calcolando l'ipotenusa di un immaginario triangolo formato da distanza e dislivello. In questo caso si applica, quindi, il Teorema di Pitagora e il risultato deve essere ovviamente superiore a 161 metri.

Questa eccezione è valida esclusivamente se almeno una di queste condizioni è verificata:

• la distanza tra le due cache non è inferiore ai 100 metri;

• il dislivello tra le due cache non è inferiore ai 100 metri.

Affinché i reviewer possano applicare questa eccezione, è compito del proprietario di fornire l'altitudine di entrambe le cache in questione. Senza queste informazioni i reviewer non possono effettuare alcun calcolo e la cache non potrà essere pubblicata.

The distance between two caches can be less than 161 meters only when, in areas with different altitude, the limit is guaranteed by the altitude difference.

In these cases, we do not consider the distance as the crow flies, but the one you get from calculating the hypotenuse of a imaginary triangle formed by distance and altitude. In this case, then, Pythagora's Theorem is applied and the result must obviously be greater than 161 meters.

This exception is granted when at least one of these two conditions occurs:

• the distance between the two geocaches is at least 100 meters;

• the difference in altitude between the two geocaches is at least 100 meters.

In order for the reviewers to grant this exception, it is duty of the cache owner to provide the altitude of both the geocaches in exam. Without these information the reviewer cannot make any calculation and the cache will not be published.

Le Bonus cache sono cache particolari, le cui coordinate si trovano all'interno di una o più altre cache. Per questo tipo di cache esistono linee guida specifiche che devono essere seguite:

• le Bonus cache sono sempre di tipo Mystery;

• da una cache può dipendere al massimo una Bonus cache;

• da una serie di cache può dipendere più di una Bonus cache purché ciascuna di queste sia legata a cache diverse della stessa serie;

• da un'Adventure Lab, qualsiasi sia il suo numero di step, può dipendere al massimo una Bonus cache;

• una Bonus cache non può dipendere da un'altra Bonus cache.

Bonus are a specific type of geocaches, their coordinates are found in one or more other geocaches. There are specific guidelines for this type of geocaches, and any of them must be compliant to these:

• Bonus caches are always listed as Mystery.

• A geocache can have no more than one Bonus cache dependent on them.

• A series of geocaches can have more than one Bonus cache dependent on it, only if each Bonus cache is linked to different geocaches of the same series.

• An Adventure Lab, whatever its number of steps is, can have no more than a Bonus cache dependent on it.

• A Bonus cache cannot depend on another Bonus cache.

Le cache possono essere dearchiviate solo se la richiesta di dearchiviazione viene fatta dall'owner entro i tre mesi dalla data di archiviazione e solo se la cache è già stata sostituita da parte dell'owner o di qualcuno per suo conto (cfr. Linee Guida). È possibile estendere questo periodo solo per situazioni molto (ma molto) particolari, tipo una cache messa in onore di una persona molto cara o di un evento particolarmente importante della vita dell'owner.

Si prega di tener presente che:

• se una cache è stata archiviata da un rewiever per mancanza di manutenzione, in nessun caso verrà dearchiviata;

• le cache archiviate non vengono mai dearchiviate solo per consentire al proprietario di darle in adozione;

• se una cache mai pubblicata è stata archiviata automaticamente da Geocaching HQ per inattività del listing, potrà essere dearchiviata senza limitazioni di tempo, in modo che il listing possa essere riutilizzato.

Geoaches can be unarchived only if the unarchiving request is made by the owner within 3 months from the archiving date and only if the cache has been already substituted by the owner or someone on his behalf (see. Guidelines). It is possible to extend this period for very (but very) special situations, like a geocache placed for a very close person or for a very particular event of the owner's life.

Please consider that:

• if a geocache is archived by a reviewer for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived in any case;

• archived geocaches are never unarchived with the only purpose to allow the owner to give them in adoption;
  
  

• if an unpblished geocache has been archived automatically by Geocaching HQ because of inactivity, it can be unarchived without time limitations, so that the listing can be reused.

Non è possibile ricreare in modo identico una cache archiviata che, allo stato attuale, non rispetti le Linee Guida attuali.

It is not possible to recreate an archived geocache that doesn't comply with the current Guidelines.

L'adozione delle cache viene effettuata tramite il link https://www.geocaching.com/adopt/ e deve essere obbligatoriamente iniziata dall'owner o, in caso di morte di quest'ultimo, da qualcuno che ne faccia le veci su sua richiesta. Né i reviewer né Geocaching HQ hanno la possibilità di togliere una cache a un utente per assegnarla a un altro. Nel caso l'owner non sia più attivo e nessuno si occupi delle sue cache, non sarà in alcun modo possibile adottarle.

The adoption of geocaches is made through the link https://www.geocaching.com/adopt/ and must be started necessarily by the owner or, if the owner is deceased, by someone they requested to do it on their behalf. Neither Geocaching HQ nor the reviewers can remove the ownership of a geocache from an user and assign it to another. If the owner is no longer active and nobody is managing their geocaches, there will be no possibility to adopt them.

Due o più eventi nello stesso giorno

Si possono creare due o più eventi nello stesso giorno se:
gli eventi sono ad almeno 25 km di distanza OPPURE ad almeno 5 ore di distanza (dalla fine di uno all'inizio dell'altro).
Inoltre:
- le ore aumentano a 8 se la distanza è inferiore ai 10 km (non si applica per San Marino e Vaticano);
- le ore aumentano a 24 se la location è entro i 161 metri (10 ore per San Marino e Vaticano);

Possono valutarsi eccezioni caso per caso solo se le attività sono chiaramente pensate per un pubblico differente.
Due o più eventi nella stessa giornata pensati chiaramente per lo stesso pubblico non saranno pubblicati, indipendentemente dalla distanza fisica o temporale.

Due o più eventi in giorni differenti

Si possono creare due o più eventi in giorni differenti con le seguenti limitazioni:

due o più eventi possono svolgersi nella medesima location (entro i 161 metri) solo se sono ad almeno 24 ore di distanza l'uno dall'altro (10 ore per San Marino e Vaticano), a meno che:
- non si tratti di un evento di più giorni. In questo caso si tratterà di un evento unico, con owner unico;
- non si tratti di una serie di più eventi col medesimo tema. In questo caso le location devono essere distanti almeno 10 km l'una dall'altra (si possono riutilizzare le stesse location dopo 7 giorni).

Two or more events in the same day

Two or more events in the same day are allowed if:
the events are at least 25 km away from each other OR 5 hours apart (from the end of one to the start of the other).
Also:
- if the distance between the events is less than 10 km, they must be at least 8 hours apart (not applied in San Marino and Vatican City State); 
- if the events are within 161m, they must be 24 hours apart (10 hours in San Marino and Vatican City State);

Exceptions can be considered only if the activities are clearly for different attendees.
Two or more events on the same day clearly designed for the same audience will not be published, regardless of physical or temporal distance.

Two or more events in different days

Two or more events in different days are allowed, with these limitations:

two or more events can take place in the same area (within 161m) only if they are 24 hours apart (10 hours in San Marino and Vatican City State), except:
- an event lasting more than one day. In this case it should be a single event, with one owner; 
- a streak or a series of more events with the same theme/reason. In this case the events should be 10km away from each other (the same places can be used again after 7 days).

Due o più eventi nello stesso giorno
Un owner non può pubblicare più di un evento nello stesso giorno (da mezzanotte alle 23.59).

Due o più eventi in giorni differenti
Un owner non può pubblicare più di un evento ogni 7 giorni, indipendentemente dal tipo di eventi. Può essere valutata un'eccezione se la distanza tra i gli eventi è superiore ai 150 km o se gli eventi sono in nazioni diverse (Italia e Vaticano, Italia e San Marino).

N.B.: queste linee guida valgono per tutti gli account collegati alla stessa persona o gruppo.

Two or more events in the same day
The same geocacher cannot own more than one event in the same day (from midnight to 11.59pm).

Two or more events in different days
The same geocacher cannot own more than one event every 7 days, regardless of the type of events. Exceptions can be considered if the events are more than 150km away from each other, or if they are in different Countries (Italy and San Marino, Italy and Vatican City State).

Note: these guidelines apply to all accounts linked to the same player or group.

In occasione di un Mega Evento (o simili), non saranno pubblicati eventi di nessun tipo, a eccezione di quelli facenti parte del programma ufficiale. Questa limitazione vale da due giorni prima fino a un giorno dopo il Mega Evento, in un raggio di 50km a partire dal Mega Evento stesso.

During a Mega Event (or similar), no other events of any type will be published, except those included in the official program. This restriction applies from two days before to one day after the Mega Event, within a 50km radius of the Mega Event itself.

• Le linee guida sull’accumulo di eventi si applicano a tutti i tipi di eventi, siano essi Event normali, CITO o Community Celebration Event (CCE); i limiti sono validi sia nel caso in cui i due eventi in contrasto siano dello stesso tipo, sia nel caso in cui siano di due tipologie diverse.

• Si possono valutare eccezioni, tenendo in considerazione i seguenti parametri: distanza tra gli eventi, owner (se lo stesso o se diversi), pubblico di riferimento, durata e attività proposte.

• Un'eccezione è che un CITO può essere immediatamente seguito o preceduto da un altro evento (ma soltanto una delle due opzioni) solo se entrambi sono organizzati dallo stesso owner, e solo nel caso in cui l'attività principale della giornata sia quella del CITO; l'Event deve essere solo un breve incontro sociale prima di iniziare i lavori o a lavori finiti. 
  Per valutare quest'ultima parte si terrà quindi conto di questi parametri:
  - l'Event dovrà avere inderogabilmente una durata di 30 minuti, a prescindere dalla durata del CITO;
  - la posizione dell'Event dovrà essere nelle immediate vicinanze del CITO (ovvero per spostarsi da uno all'altro dovranno volerci al massimo pochi minuti a piedi).
  - l’orario di inizio dell’Event deve coincidere con l’orario di fine del CITO (o viceversa).
  In caso questi parametri non siano rispettati, il CITO e l’Event saranno considerati come eventi separati e saranno applicate le normali regole descritte qui sopra.

• Come specificato anche nelle Linee Guida di Geocaching HQ, per quanto riguarda i CITO è necessario precisare in una Reviewer Note (ma è consigliato farlo anche direttamente nel listing) il modo in cui verranno smaltiti i rifiuti raccolti. L'inserimento in cestini di emergenza senza la certezza di un pronto ritiro da parte dei comuni o degli addetti alla pulizia non è consentito.

• The guidelines on event stacking are applied to all kind of events (regular Events, CITO Events and Community Celebration Events); these limits are valid either the two stacking events are of the same kind or they are of different kinds.

• Exceptions will be evaluated considering many aspects: distance between events, owners (the same or different), attendees, lasting time, proposed activities.

• An exception is that a CITO can be immediately followed or preceded by another event (but only one of the two options) only if both are organised by the same owner and only if the main activity of the day is the CITO; the Event should be just a short social gathering before starting work or when the work is finished.
  To evaluate this last part, these parameters will therefore be taken into account:
  - the side Event must have a duration of 30 minutes, regardless of the duration of the CITO;
  - the location of the Event must be in the immediate surroundings of the CITO (i.e. it will take maximum a few minutes on foot to move from one to the other).
  - the starting time of the Event must coincide with the ending time of the CITO (or viceversa).
  If these parameters are not respected, the CITO and the Event will be considered as separate events and the normal rules described above will apply.

• As also specified in the Geocaching HQ Guidelines, for CITOs it is necessary to specify in a Reviewer Note (but it is also recommended to do it directly in the listing) the way in which the collected waste will be disposed of. Placing them in emergency bins without the certainty of prompt collection by municipalities or cleaning workers is not permitted.

Per motivi di sicurezza e di norme statali (nonché per ragione pratiche), non è possibile organizzare Eventi CITO nella Città del Vaticano.

For security reasons and state rules (as well as practical reasons), it’s not possible to host CITO Events in Vatican City.

La lingua ufficiale in Italia è l'Italiano (legge 482/1999 Art.1), così come per San Marino.
Nella Città del Vaticano la lingua ufficiale è il Latino, ma viene accettato l'Italiano (cfr. par. 2 Legge sulle fonti del diritto del 7 giugno 1929).

Per le Earthcache (come indicato nelle Linee Guida) il testo e i requisiti di log devono essere scritti nella lingua locale, e quindi in Italiano; nel caso di zone con minoranze linguistiche (cfr. Lingue di minoranza in Italia) è obbligatorio l'uso dell'Italiano, sebbene tutte le minoranze linguistiche siano concesse in aggiunta, così come ogni lingua straniera l'owner desideri.

The official language in Italy is Italian (legge 482/1999 Art.1), as well as San Marino.
In Vatican City the official language is Latin, but Italian is accepted (see par. 2 Legge sulle fonti del diritto del 7 giugno 1929).

For Earthcaches (as indicated in the Guidelines) the text and log requirements must be written in the local language, and therefore in Italian; in the case of areas with linguistic minorities (see Lingue di minoranza in Italia) the use of Italian is mandatory, although all linguistic minorities are granted in addition, as well as each foreign language the owner wishes.

Sebbene sia già indicato nelle Linee Guida per le Earthcache si è deciso di richiedere, per il Vaticano, di allegare nella Nota ai Reviewer una foto datata dell'owner (o di un suo chiaro identificativo quale il nickname) a GZ contestualmente alla richiesta di pubblicazione, questo per essere certi che l'area scelta sia stata effettivamente visitata e sia visitabile e accessibile senza limitazioni.

In mancanza di questo riscontro l'earthcache non sarà pubblicata.

Nel caso le foto siano prese da internet o comunque non originali l'Earthcache non sarà pubblicata.

Although it is already indicated in the Earthcache Guidelines it was decided to request, for Vatican City, to attach a dated photo of the owner (or a clear identifier such as the nickname) to GZ to a note to the reviewers at the same time as publication request, this is to be sure that the chosen area has actually been visited and can be visited and accessed without limitations.

In the absence of this confirmation, the Earthcache will not be published.

If the photos are taken from internet or in any case not original, the Earthcache will not be published.

Il 24 Agosto 2017, 4 Giugno 2019, 1 Marzo 2022 e 17 Gennaio 2024, Geocaching HQ ha offerto la possibilità di nascondere una cache Virtual ad alcuni geocacher selezionati. Ecco le linee guida per questa distribuzione limitata di cache Virtual (l'originale è a questa pagina).

Queste linee guida sono soggette a cambiamenti.

Permessi

Le cache Virtual dovranno essere posizionate in luoghi dove i geocacher hanno libero accesso. Per le aree sensibili i reviewer potranno chiedere di fornire informazioni sui permessi per assicurarsi che il proprietario o il gestore dell’area sia a conoscenza della cache Virtual.

Prossimità

Le cache Virtual non hanno restrizioni di prossimità. Se il proprietario della cache vuole evitare di posizionare una cache Virtual con un contenuto simile, può chiedere ai reviewer di effettuare un controllo per eventuali cache in pubblicazione con un contenuto simile.

Virtual in vacanza

Il proprietario della cache deve aver visitato il luogo e tutti i waypoint addizionali nei 2 mesi precedenti alla pubblicazione. I proprietari sono comunque incoraggiati a scegliere luoghi vicini alle proprie coordinate di casa.

Pagina della cache

Il testo e i requisiti per il log devono essere inseriti nella lingua ufficiale del luogo oppure in inglese. Viene incoraggiato l’uso di altre lingue, ma quella locale deve essere inserita per prima. I reviewer potranno richiedere il testo in una lingua a loro conosciuta per facilitare il processo di revisione.

Requisiti di log

Lo scopo dei requisiti di log è quello di dimostrare che il geocacher è effettivamente stato alle coordinate della cache. Tutto il resto non deve essere obbligatorio.

Requisiti di log accettabili:

• Domande la cui risposta può essere fornita solo visitando il luogo.

• Compiti che il geocacher deve svolgere sul posto (ad esempio trovare una statua alle coordinate pubblicate e pubblicare una foto del lato nord della statua).

• Fotografie del geocacher sul posto; non si può richiedere di mostrare il viso.

• Fotografie di un oggetto personale nel luogo indicato. Ad esempio un trackable o un foglio con scritto il nickname del geocacher.
