Locations where Geocaching is limited or restricted

Chernobyl

Placement of new caches & management of existing ones in the zone of Chernobyl is limited.
All activities related with Geocaching are reviewed continually in cooperation with CHERNOBYL TOUR OPERATOR ASSOCIATION (link). CHTOA disposes license to organize tourism in the zone, including managing conditions for safe and responsible Geocaching.

BEFORE you hide any new geocache in the zone:

Please, contact Ukraine reviewer and inform him about your plan.
Reviewer will contact representative of CHTOA to obtain explicit permission, including conditions to be respected. It is absolute must for all new caches.
Review process can take up to several weeks.

AFTER publication, CHTOA can decide to restrict Geocaching in the zone, or its part, temporarily or for a long term.

Please, understand that geocaches can be disabled, or archived solely based on CHTOA decision.
