Cemeteries
Cache placements inside of cemeteries are not allowed in Illinois without permission. Caches may be placed outside of the perimeter. You are allowed to have a "virtual" stage inside of a cemetery (i.e. Find a certain marker, use the information to calculate the actual coordinates of the cache hidden somewhere nearby outside of the cemetery.
DuPage County Forest Preserves
A permit is required to hide geocaches on DPFPD land.

Kane County Forest Preserves
Geocaching is allowed only in certain designated properties and a permit is required to place caches in them.

Will County Forest Preserves
Geocaching is allowed in certain specified properties, and a permit and approval process is required to hide caches there.
