Local Lockdown Approach - Cache Publication - Events & CITOs - Archiving Caches

22nd January 2022

The Ireland Reviewer Team is committed to following government directives.

In response to the ongoing situation re Covid 19 and the major lifting of restrictions in both jurisdictions, we feel it is possible, at this time, to resume all events, both indoor and outdoor.

Please be aware that, as per the Guidelines, we cannot publish an event that has been submitted less than 14 days before the event is due to take place.

Events must comply with health and safety guidelines, as well as all local laws.

By submitting an Event for Publication, the Event Host is agreeing that they have knowledge of, and comply with all local laws and health & safety guidelines.

In particular, we would like to point out that, at the moment, in Northern Ireland, a Risk Assessment is required for all indoor events over 15 people - as we expect any event could have more than 15 people, CO's should be familiar with, and prepared, to furnish a Risk Assessment if required.

The requirement, if in place, for Risk Assessments etc are solely the responsibility of the Event Host.

Event owners are responsible for ensuring the number of people in attendance is in accordance with any local restrictions on gatherings.

Read this Help Center article for procedures that must be followed if local laws and health and safety guidelines require Event hosts to collect personal information from Event attendees.

We will keep a close eye on the situation and post updates as they occur.

Obviously, this could be reversed should local guidelines/ laws change.

Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Inishanier & Cuilcagh.

2nd May 2021

The Ireland Reviewer Team is committed to following government directives.

As travel restrictions across the island will be lifted on Monday 10th May 2021 we will re-commence reviewing & publication of caches sent in for review from 00.00 hours on 10/05/2021 - excluding any type of events though.

Please bear in mind that there may be caches sent in from several cachers, so due to volume and family commitments we will get to all caches put in for review as soon as possible.

We will also be looking at long term disabled or poor health score caches. If you feel you are unable to maintain your caches due to the ongoing situation, please post a note on your caches stating that you do intend to maintain them in the future.    However, if you are actively caching, we expect you to be able to do maintenance on your caches sooner rather than later.

Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Inishanier & Cuilcagh.
