Sites are scheduled by English Heritage in the UK, CADW in Wales and RCHMS in Scotland. \\ The OS maps do not show all the areas and are not necessarily very accurate. The reviewers have access to detailed maps for CADW Wales (but not Scotland) which for licence reasons cannot be made publicly available. \\ \\ The MAGIC map is the easiest way to check for England using the quick [MagicMapIt\!|http://benchmarks.org.uk/magicmapit.php] link. \\ \\ *Guideline: Inappropriate or Non-publishable Placement* \- Cache placement is in an area that is highly sensitive to additional foot and vehicular traffic including but not limited to archaeological sites, historical sites and cemeteries. | !tick.jpg!\\ With permission | | {anchor:reserve}{*}Local Nature Reserves* \\ [{color:#ffffff}.{color}|https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/United+Kingdom+Land+Areas#UnitedKingdomLandAreas-reserve] | MAGIC (England only) & Natural England Interactive Map \\ Ordnance Survey (Wales and Scotland) | Nature reserves are special areas created for wildlife that may be environmentally sensitive locations. Many are owned/managed by local wildlife trusts who may have agreements in the GAGB Landowner database which may include maps showing the reserves so you can see where they are. Some trusts do not allow geocaching at all. The Resource Site for UK & Ireland Geocachers [www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk|http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk], has more information about these reserves. |
