| MAGIC (England only) Ordnance Survey (Wales and Scotland) | Caches will not be allowed within the boundaries of any archaeological site whether scheduled or not without permission from the owner/manager of the site. Sites are scheduled by English Heritage in the UK, CADW in Wales and RCHMS in Scotland. The OS maps do not show all the areas and are not necessarily very accurate. The reviewers have access to detailed maps for CADW Wales (but not Scotland) which for licence reasons cannot be made publicly available.

Local Nature Reserves . | MAGIC (England only) & Natural England Interactive Map Ordnance Survey (Wales and Scotland) | Nature reserves are special areas created for wildlife that may be environmentally sensitive locations. Many are owned/managed by local wildlife trusts who may have agreements in the GAGB Landowner database which may include maps showing the reserves so you can see where they are. Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) . | England Interactive Map (England). Scottish Natural Heritage SSSI Interactive map. Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) Interactive Map | In England such sites are scheduled by Natural England, for Wales it is the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) and Scotland the Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH). SSSI's have legal protection in the UK and land owners/managers have a legal responsibility to ensure such locations are not damaged. Therefore permission for caches in SSSI's is a requirement. You may or may not be successful in getting permission. There is no one agreement for the RSPB.
